Re: Tiffany Springs Park
Anymore news on rescheduling a meeting or is this another failed attempt by KCPR to get people's interest in something that will never happen in KC? KCPR has been promising a riding area for 5 years and still no progress. Sorry I sound so modest, but I've got newpaper articles saved about KCPR promi...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
Lets see, it was 500 acres to be used for offroad riding 5 years ago, last year it was reduced to 50 acres, now its 15 acres, who are they kidding, but KC Parks and Recs sure complains about how much illegal offroad riding is tearing up their other parks. I wished I would of kept those articles that...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
I sure hope KCPR pulls through this time because they have been making promises of having a riding area in KC for the last 6 years.

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
In the last meeting we had with KCPR which was early this year, it was established there would be designated riding areas for each of the groups, but then they told us we would only get 50 of the original 500 acres and we said that would be impossible.

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
I'm amazed. I'm a member of the MOHVA and we have been having meetings and working directly with KCPR on this riding area and we didn't even get notified of this meeting. I wonder if this is open to the public to attend? I guess we need to call the number and if its open to the public, WE NEED TO AT...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
I think we are getting off the subject matter here of the original discussion of Tiffany Springs. Its amazing, my favorite riding areas are Milford Lake, Perry Lake, and Oakland. Oakland is a very small town just West and North of the Topeka toll booths on I-70 and they have a very nice riding area....

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
Kansas City Parks and Rec was only allowing MOHVA 50 acres to be broken up into separate riding areas for 4x4 trucks and jeeps, atvs, and dirtbikes. We asked for 400 acres and were told to do it in 50 acres and the cost of setting this up and maintaining the area would be the responsibility to the c...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
Missouri Offroad Highway Vehicle Association (MOHVA at http://www.mohva.org) has been working with Mike Herron and KC Parks and Rec for the last 4 years and they had led us to believe that we had obtained land for a riding area at Tiffany Springs, but look at the following information and you can be...
