Re: RideForum.NET rides off into the sunset
Thanks Troy, had some good rides, I couldn't count the number of times I've ridden the gravel loop you put together. I also got some great coaching here when I got my first gps. Best wishes on future endeavors, DK. :thumb

Re: Hillbilly ride Icon
Just found out about Uncle Dave's passing. Very Sad, and Taken back. To say Dave was a Character would be a huge understatement. Told me he never lost a rider leading a ride........... Huge Lie. I loved Dave, and spent at least one night in the same full size bed with him. Total Class Act. God Spee...

Thanks for a great time Eddie! It was nice to catch up with old friends, still surprised McB and KansasBob didn't know each other. BBQ was excellent and DirtFarmer outdid himself with breakfast.

From recent backroad cruises, the first one just needs modern running gear and a stove pipe sticking out the window.

I'm going to head up early in the morning, too close to home to not sleep in my own bed tonight and the rain. rturpin, you can show up unannounced, get a day pass, day pass and a meal, or the whole deal.

I mentioned it to one the of guys at the plant who says it sounds like a good time. He bought my buddy's DR650, I assured him he won't be shunned.

I should mention I put a TKC80 out front per your bike and am very pleased. It sings a little but the feel on gravel and dirt is awesome! Looks like I'm almost to the wear bars on the rear, I think my retired buddy and I may head down Arkansas way sunday or so.

That sounds just fine. Don't forget to go in the barn and check out the mangers. Hand dug well, outbuildings. I easily passed for a local my last visit to the Ozone burger barn, and had a Luc sighting. :) Dub was telling us about how they strung cables tied way up high in the bigger trees ...

Re: help please on locating ark. cabin
I think you're probably right Troy, in my case I gave my word. I'd still get current info before I took a hundred riders I didn't really know there, all on the same day. That's all.

Re: help please on locating ark. cabin
We got the grand tour riding with Devro a couple years ago. As I recall he called it the Spurgeon Warren cabin. We were there probably an hour. Dub had some fascinating stories about how the area was logged years ago. Devro always asked me to keep close mouthed about it. If I were planning to have i...

Re: KTM 525 Smoking/Head Gasket or worse??
My buddy Hayduke had an annoying leak on his 525 that slipped past his mechanic. With some coaching he used a piece of glass and 320 grit paper and lapped the head flat again so the gasket could seal. If it got hot, I'd make sure it's still flat.
