Re: Garmin 60CSx, $350, Cabela's

That's a great deal! I was at Bass Pro recently and they only had a $50 mail-in rebate. I'm still thinking the 276C is the way to go, though. The 276 is a large unit to keep from moving riding trails (mass .. momentum ... etc.). Screen size is nice though. The 60 is less mass to keep stationary. Wh...

Re: Look out V-Strom

It will be more compentition for the tiger market than the vstrom market. Smaller front wheel and all makes it even less of an adventure bike than the vstrom.

Re: New tires

Just reaching the end of my first set of TKC's. I loved them. Used thier full postential at WestFest with Advrider. They don't last if you have to use them on hot pavement for long miles though. I rode 927 miles home crossing hot Oklahoma and Kansas at 80mph and it took a toll on them. I figure I am...

On the few large group rides I've done we space out quite a bit with each rider waiting at turns until the following rider is in view. Doing this you must keep an eye for your leading rider...as soon as he sees you he's gone. If there is a good breeze/wind then the distance may close a bit since the...

[i This was turn around #3 for us. Looks like someone else had to pay hell down this section....those are not our tracks. I am willing to guess those tracks are from Dave H. Terry and I.???? Who ever it was dumped it twice....it is hard to see in the pic, but there are two crash marks in there. The...

Some of the detours did not work out as they should. That is Red's KLR sleeping, KC and the big GSA are still at the bottom. My strom was at the top of the hill after fish tailing all the way up. Gotta love them TKC tires.

Troy, If a guy figures out to load the whole route in marengo, how do you save it and make a link to it. Flashstrommer doesn't have a gps, so if he can see the whole thing he can trace it in highlighter on his topo maps. I don't know if I'll ride or not, new kilimanjaro air on the way but I don't k...

Cooper Creek ATV area

Anyone ever ride the Cooper Creek ATV area? Looks like it would be fun and educational at the same time. Great place for riders to buff up on dirt, sand, gravel, mud, uneven terrain in a closed in area. About 400 acres of various challenges.

BIG bikes?

Hey I caught this on the ADV site. I will be there if'n I get my TKC's mounted on the big strom. There are a couple of other big bikes that have a little less experience that want to come. I was wondering if I can get the directions or road names so I can lead the big bike contingent? I can also sho...
