Ha! Yes, the anti-monkey butt powder for sure.
Wish this ride were on Sunday instead of tomorrow. Got way too much stuff to do tomorrow. I haven't even cleaned the bike from last week's ride yet. You guys have fun and good luck. I'll catch you on the next one.

Re: White Cloud ride May 30th.
Hey David, I did this ride solo last weekend and the conditions were perfect. I left from Lenexa and started the route in Lawrence. Everything was pretty dry including River Road and the Doniphan County minimum maintenance roads. Talked to a farmer North of Perry and he said they had a bunch of rain...

Hey Troy, I was planning a solo ride tomorrow, but this ride looks interesting. Not sure I want to take slab all the way down there, but I can adapt. You know, that's Steve Leivan country. I bet we could drop by his place for some riding tips and a Stag beer with old man Frank! I know he's got a hal...

Good luck, Troy. Keep changing that oil. You'll be fine.
I submarined a Maico 440 down at the old river trails back in the day. That puddle was over my head! Nothing worse than dragging a soggy bike home. Milky oil for days....!

Re: Protective Body Armor Suits
Thanks for the encouragement, Troy. The shoulder is healing up nicely. I wrenched on the bike all day today and it seemed okay as long as I didn't push it too hard. Pulled the carb and found out that the previous owner still had the high altitude jetting, so I swapped that out. Should help eliminate...

Kinda Quiet Around Here!
I'm sitting here working on the RideForum logo with a LARGE bag of ice on my bum shoulder and a Red Stripe at my side. Not a bad way to finish the day. Got the LC4 all washed up tonight and surveyed the damage from the AR crash and she looks pretty good. After pulling some parts I discovered that th...

Had a great time! What a beautiful place to ride. And it was good to meet everyone too. You're a great group of guys to ride with. Here are the few pix I managed to get from Saturday before I went ditch diving: http://gthonen.home.comcast.net/ARridepix/index.htm#13 Btw, the shoulder is feeling much ...

If you are willing to help out, yeah, you got the greenlight--you are good, and sounds like you understand what I want. Thanks! Thanks, Troy! I'll go ahead and work up a few samples. As for the Jolly Roger, I don't know about that one...I'll have to sit with that for a bit. Btw, Multivac is a GREAT...

Re: RideForum Logo
Hey Troy, Someone who knows what they want! You're ahead of the game. And you're on the right track in considering all the various usages of the logo. What I usually do is a simple version for silk screening, embroidery, etc. And then a more elaborate version for print, and web usage. Here are a few...

Check this one out: http://zeromotorcycles.com/
There are some great videos on this site. A 65' double jump, burnouts and some racing. As soon as they get a full-sized model this could be very interesting.

Re: AR Fall Ride again? Sep 28-30th
David, there's a good chance I'll be down in Springfield on a job that week. If it all works out I wouldn't mind joining you for the Thursday ride.
If the job doesn't pan out I'll be coming down on Friday morning instead if anyone wants to carpool from Olathe.

Re: Garmin 60CSx, $350, Cabela's
I'm using an eTrex Legend and I don't think I'd recommend it. It works fine, once you isolate the vibe issues with foam in the battery compartment and dialectic grease on the contacts. BUT, the screen is small and no color so it's hard to see your route compared to the surrounding roads. And it's SL...

Re: Ride Sunday – "KS Dakar" – 8-26-07
Kind of funny with all the Hare scrambles and enduros I've done I've only DNF'ed once, we go on a DS loop and DNF - thats said :? I hear ya. I've never had a flat during a race/enduro, but the courses are practically nail free! Pre-ride equipment check isn't a bad idea. I'm re-stocking tubes tomorr...

Ha! That's funny, Troy. The old nail trick. My buddy thinks it's a conspiracy by "those people" who hate us knobby folks. He's funny like that. However, we did find nails strewn across the OHV trails in Topeka. Hmmm..... Poor David had flat #2 and #5 of the trip (mine were #3 & #4). I think I'm gonn...
