Albert Pike & Little Missouri Flooding
Last weeks tragedy in this area is unimaginable. The link below is from our ride in that area in 08. We did not stay at the Albert Pike campground, but we rode through it a couple times and we were around the Little Missouri Falls often that week. http://picasaweb.google.com/kware1/MenaShadyLake?fea...

Re: Out for a while....
Hank, I had to have my right shoulder done last April and it is now much better than it was before, while trying the PT. I had the same issue your are faced with. You may want to try my approach. I figured if I made a big enough mess on the seat and in my shorts, the wife would just volunteer to hel...

Re: I'm legal!
Good luck on the surgery Larry and God's speed on the recovery. I had to have my shoulder cut on back in April. It's still not 100%, but it is getting a little better each month. Street bike riding has not been an issue, but I am sure off road would still not be much fun. Again, hope it all goes wel...

Re: What's a 1990 KLR650 Worth?
Troy, you drive a hard bargain. I guess I will have to keep one around. I really have been considering selling the DRZ for more of a adventure bike, V Strom, KLR, GS650, etc... But will wait to see how serious the wife is about learning to ride. Riding on the back of the Harley with me should make a...

Re: What's a 1990 KLR650 Worth?
Thanks for the offer Dean. But I think we'll find a way to stay friends with Troy without me sleeping on your porch. When he thinks about how many good memories we have, he'll take back those mean things he said.

Re: What's a 1990 KLR650 Worth?
Wow!, that hurt's Troy. Well, now I have even more decisions, Piss out the boss, or keep you on my friend list. It seems like just yesterday that Mike and I met you and Klye in Parkville for your first published ride. Like Twerth, I have a backwards plan. I would sell the DRZ, get a starter for the ...

I know the story. I maybe selling my DRZ400S, because the Boss, has decided she is interested in riding her own street bike. So trying to decide if it will have to go to get her a starter bike.

Re: Sat Aug 8: Road ride to Nebraska?
Well, I too would like to go, however I am in Dallas this week and I could be as late as Saturday evening getting home. I have bought some bike type camping gear and a one night trip would be the perfect test.
Maybe I could go for next months breakfast?????

Re: Saturday, June 13th ?
I already have plan's to ride out around Alta Vista and Alma on Saturday on my Harley. I am sorta, pre-riding that area for a group ride coming up later in the month. I've been back and forth on highway 4 several times, just wanted to look at the road's around Alma for street bike riding before the ...

I'm considering joining you David. A lot will depend on how much rain we get today and over night. Anyone else from the north side of KC interested in this ride?

Re: Mark Twain National Forest - FYI
Well, after having shoulder sugery just a month ago, I was just going for the camping and fellowship. So I guess I'll wait to see what the gang is going to do before I put in for the time off. This is a large family and friends group, that has been sending Memorial Day week down there for 30 years.

Missouri Vintage MX races this weekend
http://www.movmx.com/
Short notice, but there are two days of, Vintage MX races this weekend rear Greenwood, MO
I'll going Saturday with some friends, but we're driving a truck because one of there has a couple old, IT Yamaha's for sale.
Would be a short ride from anywhere in the KC metro area????

Re: Car/Dualsport collision
Gary, so sorry to here about this accident. I am so thankful that you are okay, or not badly hurt. It is so hard to give advice on this type of situation. It's sound likes you weren't in her blind spot. The action you took sounds like your only choice. I forgot already, were you going very fast? Def...

Re: Mena, Arkansas????
Well, 3 of us headed down to Mena last Sunday, the 12th. We decided to camp at the Shady Lake National forest campground southeast of Mena. This campground is about 8 miles south of the, southeast corner of the Wolf Pen Gap trail system. On Monday, we rode up to the Wolf Pen Gap trails and rode most...
