Yeah, those things are kind of funny it sounds like you're getting passed by a fleet of Old Timers at the golf course on golf carts. The one I rode the o ring chain was louder than the motor.

All of the aforementioned comments are pretty good. One thing to consider about the KLR 650 as they are prone to crank problems in certain years. For that reason alone and having been bitten by Kawasakis expensive crank prices.... I would take a good hard look at the XR650L. It's old and heavy desig...

Single rail hitch haulers are awesome. I know of someone that uses one on a lifted f250 pickup....just for the ease of use. Loading into a pickup is a nuisance. If it isn't substantially harder to load a bike in the truck at the end of the day than you didn't ride hard enough.
