Chadwick eats dirt bikes for lunch.

Chadwick is definitely hard on equipment! Do they make a case saver to help with the shifter issue? If not just don't hit that side anymore....

Bo and I have both been searching for a ignition-side protection, but had not come up with anything.

Bo found this for the clutch side, and had actually fabricated a small piece of aluminum to perform a similar function on the ignition side.

But just yesterday, Ryno sent us this link:

That's exactly what we have been looking for -- thanks, Ryno!

As soon as I've gone over my bike with a fine-toothed comb and made sure I don't need any other OEM parts, I'm going to order a new ignition cover from KTM World, and clutch and ignition savers from Trail Jammer Designs.

Am also considering a stronger aftermarket shift lever, so that it's less likely to end up being jammed into the side of the case in a fall.

This is the second time the shifter has punctured the ignition cover. The first time was shortly after I brought it home from the dealer, and it fell over in my workshop.

The front edge was also damaged (but thankfully not punctured) at Chadwick because the KTM-branded skid plate I bought with the bike didn't come up high enough to protect it. Until I am ready to buy a better skid plate, I added an extension to the existing one. So far it has done its job, but I'm extremely disappointed in the KTM skid plate. After most rides, I have to take it off an hammer it straight. Not money well spent.

The Trail Hammer guard looks great! Surprised how inexpensive it is as well.
